- Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing
Our girls therapeutic boarding schools use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in our adolescent counseling which integrates elements of many effective psychotherapies in structured protocols that are designed to maximize treatment effects. These include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, experiential, and body-centered therapies. EMDR is an information processing therapy and uses an eight phase approach. EMDR is an effective way of healing from the trauma of rape, molestation, neglect, abandonment and other traumatic events.
- Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Our all girls therapeutic boarding school uses equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) a powerful and effective therapeutic approach that has an incredible impact on individuals, youth, families, and groups. EAP addresses a variety of mental health and human development needs including behavioral issues, attention deficit disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and communication needs.
