Anytime that we feel overwhelmed in life, it is usually when our life is out of balance. This group is designed to teach you how to set priorities and include all of the important things that will help you reduce your anxiety reduce the chances of burning out in life. Self-growth, physical health, family and friends, financial security, quiet and relaxation time, and fun and pleasure should be included in your schedule.

SPECT

Single Photon Emission Computerized Tomography helps us understand and treat our patients. SPECT measures blood flow and activity patterns. It looks at how the brain works. The goal, as a holistic program, is to look at and treat the person as a whole. Serenity New Life offers a thorough physical evaluation that can help uncover biological factors that might be contributing to problems and that when corrected, may be able to help break free from addiction.

    Jack - Clinical Director

    Jack has been in practice for over 25 years as a therapist. He is currently the clinical director of Serenity Life Counseling. His experience ranges from having developed several in-patient addiction programs for drug &alcohol addiction, eating disorders, to sitting on Patrick Carnes advisory board for sexual addiction at a Southern California in-patient facility. Jack had been the director for a residential treatment center for drug and alcohol addiction back in the early 90ís. He is most noted though, for his work on religious abuse and addiction and is the author of the best selling ìToxic Faithî. However, if you were to talk to Jack, he would tell you his most exciting work is right now. He sits in an advisory board capacity to Dr. Daniel Amen, the worlds leading expert on Spect Scan Imaging (a nuclear medical approach to brain function). Jack is well suited in supervising the integration of this cutting edge technology into substance abuse.

    Spencer Pridgen - Program Director

    Program Director Spencer Pridgen has six years of experience in working in the addiction treatment field. Spencer has a vast array of knowledge in working with clients on anger management and an expert in relapse prevention. He came to Serenity Life Counseling with the sole purpose in helping our clients overcome their difficulties and teaching them some of the basic life skills that are lacking in these peoples lives. Spencer attended Cypress College for 2.5 years studying in the drug and alcohol studies program and specializing in human services. He is a loving father of a beautiful baby girl and wants to make the world a better place.
