Didn't like their approach. Not much experience with my addiction. Thought I would be able to stay on some medications that I was on when entering rehab and they made me go off of them.

I relpased after 3 months and then I went to a local facility
1on1 Counselor/Counseling (I had a good counselor; others not so good) Residential Counselors tend to have jail-house mentality in running the place. You feel "stuck" when you're there. RC's always ...
Counsellors are in recovery so they relate. More 1 on 1 time is needed. Expensive!!! The psychiatrist assigned was a pill pusher. Needed more personal time.
Staff was a strength of the facility, but there was a lack of mental health meetings. If you need help ck out the facility.
It's an in-patient center and is affordable. Needs to follow-up with clients in order to make sure they don't relapse. My dad came back healthy and his mind was clear and his memory was so much better...
Aweful experience!!! They put me on meds that did not react like I know that medicine did which caused serious side effects. STAY AWAY!!!! The staff was terrible and I was surrounded by liars and punk...

Prior to my stay at Michael\'s House, I was misdiagnosed and given the wrong medication that pushed me into extreme depression and mania. The facility staff concentrate 80% on drug/alcohol addictions....

Very dynamic approach and multiple types of therapy. Not strictly a 12-Step program, although they do usually offer one meeting a day. They have lots of DBT, 2 regular therapy sessions a week, adventu...
It was great that all the staff were former addicts. However, it was very expensive. Overall, a caring rehab. I really liked the staff and felt that my recovery was their main goal.
Amazing and caring staff. More room at the men's center would be good and it's my understanding that expansion was getting underway when I was completing my treatment. I have recommended Michaels Hous...

How Our Helpline Works
For those seeking addiction treatment for themselves or a loved one, the Recovery.org helpline is a private and convenient solution.
Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).
We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.
Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither Recovery.org nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.
For more information on AAC's commitment to ethical marketing and treatment practices, or to learn more about how to select a treatment provider, visit our About AAC page.
