Very good information to family members about the nature of the condition and the signs to look for.

AA based treatment

Saved my life!

Effective for relapse, not newcomer.

Went to their youth program. My uncle even went to adult one and has stayed sober for over 15 years. I think their adult program maybe stronger.

Areas of Focus
Adolescent Residential Inpatient Program

The strongest influences for adolescents for better or worse are the peers that dictate the behavior of the group. Most adolescents who are addicted and in need of treatment have adopted a group in which drugs and drug taking are the norm. Treatment begins with exposure to another peer group, a group of adolescents who believe there is a better way to act, think and believe. The milieu at the adolescent unit is designed to promote that better way and to help patients begin acting, feeling and thinking their way to sobriety.

Outpatient Programs

At Lakeside-Milam, our treatment philosophy is quite simple. We build individualized treatment programs to help patients get back on track—with minimal disruption to their busy lives. For many clients, the flexibility of outpatient care allows them to remain within a supportive family environment and to keep working. We offer programs that work. Over 80% of Lakeside-Milam clients get help through our outpatient programs. We have over 10,000 recovering alumni, with thousands of new patient referrals coming from former clients.
