"I love working at Sunrise because of the great people I get to work with and the progress I see in the girls that come here. We have such rich opportunities to interact with families in need and see them make life-changing decisions."

At Sunrise, we know that every girl is different. Because your daughter possesses a unique constellation of experiences, talents, relationships, and struggles, Sunrise offers a teen residential treatment program that is customized to meet her special needs. Sunrise works to uncover the academic, social, and emotional potential of girls who have been held back by emotional or behavioral struggles. Our staff knows that in school and treatment one size does not fit all, so we meet your daughter right where she is and design a program that changes with her as she grows confident, secure, and healthy during treatment.
The following is based on a combination of Surveys of Alumni, Staff, Loved Ones, and Reviews and Ratings from around the web.
Reviews at a Glance
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
DBT helps with the problematic actions sometimes used to deal with extreme emotional intensity. DBT emphasizes taking responsibility for one's problems and helps the person examine how they deal with conflict and negative feelings.
- SMART Recovery
Sunrise's recovery philosophy entails viewing and addressing the struggles of chemical abuse and dependency from multiple perspectives and approaches. We believe each girl is an individual in her treatment and SMART recovery encourages individualization of substance abuse treatment. We have found that teenagers respond well to the cognitive-behavioral approaches associated in SMART recovery intervention.

How Our Helpline Works
For those seeking addiction treatment for themselves or a loved one, the Recovery.org helpline is a private and convenient solution.
Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).
We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.
Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither Recovery.org nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.
For more information on AAC's commitment to ethical marketing and treatment practices, or to learn more about how to select a treatment provider, visit our About AAC page.
