Deer Hollow Recovery & Wellness Reviews and Ratings Details
The following is based on a combination of Surveys of Alumni, Staff, Loved Ones, and Reviews and Ratings from around the web.
Reviews at a Glance
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a highly specific, research-validated form of therapy that can help people overcome traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. With EMDR, a trained practitioner uses bilateral stimulation, eye movement and touch to stimulate parts of the brain as a patient recounts certain experiences and memories as a way to more thoroughly process uncomfortable, painful feelings.
- Individualized Treatment
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
- Holistic Therapy
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
- Process Abuse Treatment
Not all addictions involve mood-altering chemicals. The term “process addiction” describes the unhealthy use of behaviors (including eating, gambling, sexual activity, shopping, internet use, etc.) that has spiraled out of control and into the realm of addiction.

My experience with Deer Hollow has been amazing. I came in as a broken down, scared, tore up, lost woman. Through the love and patience from the staff at Deer Hollow I was able to grow and learn to be a member of society. The staff is so willing to listen, give advice, laugh, be serious, and everything in between. Whatever I needed they were able to provide that for me.

Words cannot express just how amazing this facility really is! I have been to a million other facilities (at least it feels like that) and I finally can say I have found healing! Do yourself a favor and schedule a tour and see for yourself why these guys are so good at what they do!

My journey didn’t end with Deer Hollow when I coined out. I get a call from someone at least once a month to check on me and make sure I am doing OK. I also call in a lot when I am having a hard time or need to hear a familiar voice and I am never turned away. Deer Hollow has become my safe place, and my family. I couldn’t have picked a better treatment center to start my journey in. I have a relationship with my children again. I will forever be grateful for what Deer Hollow gave me.

I was at a point where I didn't feel like I deserved another chance and Deer Hollow gave me a chance. I was there for 37 days and was able to work on my self and get a clear head. The staff helped me out a ton and talked to me like I was a human being. I played on the Deer Hollow softball team, which allowed me to meet sober people and learn how to have sober fun. I feel blessed to be apart of the Deer Hollow family.

As the second clinic that I've been to after struggling through my last relapse...I knew that I could not risk going to a facility that did not have 100% everything I needed to heal and become the best version of myself that I can be! I felt like the staff at Deer Hollow truly understood me as a person suffering and gave me the love and patience I needed in order to finally heal. Plus, my whole family loved being involved and the hospitality of the staff.
