Capo by the Sea Reviews and Ratings Details
The following is based on a combination of Surveys of Alumni, Staff, Loved Ones, and Reviews and Ratings from around the web.
Reviews at a Glance
- Residential Treatment
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
- Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
- Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment
These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Facilities that treat patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders provide psychiatric treatment in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.
- Individualized Treatment
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
- Process Abuse Treatment
Not all addictions involve mood-altering chemicals. The term “process addiction” describes the unhealthy use of behaviors (including eating, gambling, sexual activity, shopping, internet use, etc.) that has spiraled out of control and into the realm of addiction.
I went here they wouldn't give up on me. I didn't finish but I still managed to stay sober they are all caring I give thanks most to Jackie Jeff, and Jerry they were the best people there to me. Sincerely Martina CervantesM.C.
Thank you so much for being a huge part of my recovery. I was a patient with you about 5 years ago and was able to finally get and stay sober. I felt like a lost cause and was having so many problems back then. My life has stabilized and is finally settled into a perfect state of peacefulness. Thank you all!M.S.
My wife went to this treatment center and even though it was hard without her since she is a stay at home mom. Jeff was wonderful getting her at the airport I was able to rest for the first night in a long time, the counselors are so caring, the staff did everything they could to make it easier for my wife while in treatment making sure she got the care she needed. Kent and Jerry where a wonderful support and what praises couldn’t be said about Jackie the house manager for the women’s house. She did everything she could to be supportive for my wife while being away from her kids she was there for her everyday even if it was just to cheer her up and make funny faces on her saddest days. My wife will forever be thankful to Jackie and it was hard for her to leave after almost 90 since she grew so clothes to her. Thank you John you have a great staff including Jeff of course but I don’t think you realize what a treasure Jackie is to the women in treatment she goes out of her way and bust her tail for those women everydayF.C.
I have been here for two weeks and I am so impressed. This is my second in patient treatment center. I have never been around a group of people that care so much for their clients. They work around the clock making sure our needs are met. They made me feel comfortable from the very start. If you want help with people who get you and realize you're a real person, not just another client; this is the place to be!A.S.
I love this place! It goes way beyond my expectations and I feel at peace.A.L.
I wasn't happy about having to go to rehab but, I didn't have any options left. I didn't want to live anymore, I was so tired of fighting... I was in a altered state of mind when I arrived due to alcohol and other substances. The staff apon arrival were very warm and welcoming so I felt comfortable from the start. I believe you have to be completely broken, emptied of yourself and in a position of total surrender in order to receive help and answers to your problems or condition. If you are, then Capo is there to guide you on your journey. They will NOT tell you what to do..they will walk with you and give you assistance and the tools to be successful. You have to do it for yourself. You cannot pay someone to get you clean or sober..they will detox you, walk with you through the process and give you the necessary tools to have a beautiful life... it's up to you.. CAPO was all of this for me. I"ve been both clean and sober now for over 2 yrs. Capo is and will always be number 1 on my daily gratitude list!! Thanks Capo and John ....K.A.

Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).
We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.
Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither Recovery.org nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.
