This was the worst treatment center I have ever attended. They are more interested in your bank account than helping you. One of the “therapists” is downright unprofessional. Do not waste your tim...

I was given a charity bed at Board Prep, and during my short stay, they treated me like I was v subhuman. They blatantly disregarded my safety, and I believe it was because I wasn't paying. They wante...

My son recently relapsed but asked to go back to BoardPrep. This time he was honest. They asked if I would share my experience because relapses can be stopped early on. Also, being able to meet with t...

DO NOT go to this doctor for an evaluation referred by IPN! I thought I would give this doctor a shot being fairly familiar with the other doctors that IPN had given me to chose from. He will seem ver...

I was told I was bipolar yet tested repeatedly including at Board Prep who stayed I was bipolar. I had to take lithium and live in a shack literally. No phone, Devestated and alone in a hurricane. The...

BoardPrep helped my son. The doctors and therapists are the most knowledgeable and experienced group in the area. I found this out after a lot of discussions with other families that had been through ...

A complete waste of money! Had to arrange their own transportation to and from the center via Uber on their own dime. Had to procure their own meals as well.

I do not usually write reviews for anything but my AA sponsor told me that this is a good way to give back, by sharing my experience strength and hope. So what I mainly want to say is that, in the beg...

I work in a doctors office and referred a patient to BoardPrep Recovery. They were really flexible about giving him time during treatment to make sure his engineering firm did not suffer while he was ...

A great experience. Glad I did it. I was referred to boardprep by IPN for alcohol rehab because they are approved for nurses. A friend of mine, also a nurse, went to another Florida program last year ...

BoardPrep saved my life. I am so grateful to the staff and founders of this remarkable recovery center. They were patient and kind when I was being stubborn and difficult. It was a dark time. They had...

I have never been so appalled by the dishonest nature of a professional establishment as I have Board Prep. What makes it even more gut-wrenching is that this is supposed to be somewhere that families...

Even though they opened in 2013, it felt like they really knew what they were doing and had been working together for a long time. I had lots of individual attention from my primary therapist and the ...

I\'m not proud to say I have been to several rehabs and I usually did not stay for more than a week or two. BoardPrep was different and I actually began to like being there. I completed the 90 day pro...

I am very pleased with the staff, amenities and treatment. Thanks for saving my life and medical license.

This \"treatment\" is, sadly, a pathetic excuse for them to make money. Two staff members are very unstable and provide nothing but \"fly by the seat of their pants\" therapy. I don\'t know of any pa...

Areas of Focus

The term “12 Step Program” describes a way to recover from addiction that is based on the model developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Many drug and alcohol treatment centers base their treatment on 12 steps – the first three of which are situational, the next four addressing the practical issues created by the addiction, followed by two steps focused on making amends for hurting others. Steps 10 and 11 involve a deeper examination of the previous steps and the final step is focused on helping others avoid and recover from addiction.

Individualized Treatment

Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
