Beachside Rehab Reviews and Ratings Details
The following is based on a combination of Surveys of Alumni, Staff, Loved Ones, and Reviews and Ratings from around the web.
Reviews at a Glance
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a highly specific, research-validated form of therapy that can help people overcome traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. With EMDR, a trained practitioner uses bilateral stimulation, eye movement and touch to stimulate parts of the brain as a patient recounts certain experiences and memories as a way to more thoroughly process uncomfortable, painful feelings.
- Individualized Treatment
Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.
Though not all rehab facilities offer “medical detoxification,” all people with an addiction to drugs or alcohol will experience intense physical and emotional changes and discomfort as their bodies react to withdrawal of the addictive substance. Many people use the term “detox” to refer to the period of time (ranging from a few days to a week) when the body is reacting to an addict’s decision to stop using.
- Equine Therapy
A form of animal therapy, equine therapy involves visiting, working with and sometimes riding horses as a way to create a metaphoric relationship that leads to life-altering insights.
Beachside was awesome. I was such a mess when I first got there, but the staff helped me to understand why my life was falling apart. They made the whole process enjoyable. I liked how the houses were actually on the beach. I love the new sober life I live now and am rebuilding the trust with all of my family members. Beachside really helped turn my life towards a better path. Thanks everyone at Beachside!Ryan T.
I was treated on an individual basis. My treatment focused on my needs to get well. A beautiful setting and very caring staff members. I strongly believe that I have a support system I can depend on now and in my future! Thank you for giving me my life back.Jacqueline B.
Beachside Rehab was wonderful. I did a lot of good recovery there. They give you as much freedom as you possibly can, which is good. It's not like you're locked up, like places in New Jersey. The therapist I had, Nikki, was the best person I've ever talked to. I actually got down to some real stuff with her.Nicholas
Everything was first class with Beachside Rehab. The people were very friendly from admissions to my leaving. The main thing that I liked was that the staff actually cared about their clients and that was huge. All of them were very hands-on. The experience was definitely the foundation of my sobriety. It was a very good start in the right direction.Cheyne
The people from Beachside Rehab were really open and welcoming. Everything went smooth off the beginning. I interacted with everyone that worked there, from their techs to the therapists, the ones that were working with me and weren't. They had all the clients involved and it was really positive. So far I feel good post-treatment, and the experience has helped me a lot. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.Eric
