Kimiko earned her Masters in Marriage Family Child Counseling from Fresno Pacific University. Her passion solidified when working with Kings View Counseling Center in Handford, CA. She provided therapeutic treatment to adolescents, children, families, and individuals struggling with substance abuse. She was trained in multiple therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), both proven to help individuals with depression.

Balboa Horizons understands that academic progress is often a casualty of addiction. We are proud to offer the most innovative program for students looking to begin or continue their educations while learning to sustain a sober lifestyle. There are several well known academic institutions in close proximity to the center which, when appropriate, allows for easy integration with a clients addiction treatment. We provide one-on-one counseling to support each client in achieving their academic goals.
- Opiate Addiction Program
Balboa Horizons’ clinical team is highly trained to deal with the challenges involved with opioid addiction and treatment. A controlled and medically supervised detoxification will be necessary and the intensity of withdrawal will depend on the duration and amount of opioid use.
