Areas of Focus
Holistic Therapy

Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction. Scottsdale Recovery Center believes in an individualized treatment process utilizing holistic, traditional and non-traditional treatment modalities.

Dual Diagnosis/ Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Scottsdale Recovery Center treats patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders, providing psychiatric treatment, in addition to, drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

The focus of cognitive behavioral therapy (also called CBT) is helping people to understand their thoughts and emotions that underlie their addiction with the goal of learning new, healthier and more productive ways to understand and express themselves. Scottsdale Recovery Center has seen huge success using the CBT model and we are one of the few centers in Arizona that are truly experienced in this field.

Aftercare Support

Addiction recovery does not end with discharge after completing a rehab program. Scottsdale Recovery Center offers comprehensive aftercare planning and/or support to ALL patients, ensuring sustainable recovery by helping to plan and make arrangements for transitional or sober living, help with housing, vocational counseling, etc. Once you are a member of the SRC family you are always considered family here!

Residential Treatment

Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs. Scottsdale Recovery Center offers luxurious and upscale housing in beautiful, private and serene neighborhoods in Scottsdale, AZ. Clients live in our houses for the duration of their treatment stay here at Scottsdale Recovery Center.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR), is the latest in psychotherapy for treatment of PTSD, trauma, addiction, stress, and many other emotional troubles. This exciting new technique is revolutionary to the treatment of psyche problems because it effectively treats the problem by rewiring the neuropathways in the brain. At Scottsdale Recovery Center we are proud to offer this innovative therapy to our patients that are battling with addiction, recovery, post traumatic stress disorder, and trauma. EMDR Trauma focused treatment modalities address and conquer any childhood abuse, childhood traumas, adult traumatic events, grief and loss issues and depression. Specifically, we utilize EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. This is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress. SRC is the leader in EMDR therapy in Arizona.

  • Dear Liza, Chris and Alex, I can’t begin to express to you my appreciation for the care and compassion you have given our son. You have gone above and beyond for him and I don’t know how to thank you enough. This year has been so difficult for us, and at times I am overwhelmed with so many emotions. It’s such a comfort knowing how much you care for him. Knowing you listen to him with a patient ear, a loving heart, and a compassionate soul. You can see through to who our son truly is, and because of you guys and Scottsdale Recovery Center, he is back to the son I know and love. He truly cares for you guys and has immense respect for you, as do his father and I. Thank you Scottsdale Recovery Center, We love you guys.

  • Somedays just having the group therapies and relapse prevention classes helps me stay positive, and when I really apply myself in those sessions, I feel like I am growing. That’s what seems to work for me right now and having that is really valuable. Thank you Scottsdale Recovery Center for giving me this opportunity of sobriety.

  • My stay here at your organization has been a very positive one. The accommodations are first class and clean. The main office/treatment center being located above a facility that has various meetings addressing different addictions is a huge plus. Kudos to our house manager, she had a tremendous spirit and heart that fills our home with a positive aura as we work our way toward physical and emotional sobriety!
