Can someone please tell me how the cost for a project could range from $1 million to $250 million? This is a perfect example of how this stimulus money is being misspent and is going into the pockets of politician's friends. I'm still furious and want an answer to where the $3 BILLION went to the 86th district in Florida (which doesn't exist). And, if it is true that this website cost $18 million I'm really frustrated.. A Pre-solicitation Announcement is a notice that a formal solicitation for bids on the project is forthcoming. The announcement says that was due for release in June 2009 so I imagine those bids have been already submitted. What is truly misleading is that this money is actually for a project in Colorado - not King County, WA. Where can we find real honest information?! This "Stimulus Tracker" is worthless! Reply

Would someone please answer the question. What does $83mil for a "Pre" solicitation mean? If the actual answer is "To gather information" for the building of a parking lot in Colorado, I feel this is a clear case of fraud/waste/abuse. Has anyone other than me noticed that every dollar thus far is going strictly to union labor? Also, please look at the $45mil to buy new busses in Seattle...effecting over 200 jobs? This comes from someone who actually lost their job. Reply

a presolicitation is announcement stating that a federal project has received funds and is accepting proposals from contractors to bid the job. the reason this money is going to WA for a CO construction project is because the money is allocated to the state in which the agency is located. In this case, the agency happens to be located in the WA, but the "agency" actually covers many states. Reply

Reply to Crystal : Reply to Crystal: Because Washington State has a senator named Patty Murray (D) who told us Washingtonians her main job is to bring as much federal taxpayer dollars to Washington State as possible. And she has done an excellent job of redistributing the wealth even before Obama was elected and said that was his goal. Reply

1. WOW ... tens of millions of dollars for a pre-solicitation !? 2. How does a parking lot in CO translate to jobs in WA ??? .... this is the biggest line-item attributed to King County (i.e. the whole Seattle area) Reply

Reply to g cyrus : Not sure what presolicitation is. Is this money just to find a contractor or is it money to perform the work? Reply
