THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE PRIME CONTRACTOR UNDER THE RECOVERY, TOWER CHEMICAL SITE CONTRACT NO. EP-R4-10-01.The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4 issued this Contract for soil remediation at the Tower Chemical Company Site, located in Lake County, FLorida. This requirement is under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Due to changed site conditions while excavating at the Tower Chemical Site, EPA Region 4 required additional handling of soil containing Chlordane, and excavation, handling, storage, and staging of unknown drums and contaminated subsurface debris. The amount for the additional handling of the soil containing chlordane is $12,692 and the amount for the unknown drums and contaminated soil is $59,433.00 which brings the dollar value of these two change orders to $72,125.
