7/1/2010 - The Council plans to approve the following: Recommend approval of the contract on behalf of Oklahoma City Public Schools between America's Choice (RFP #9326) to provide professional development training for all middle schools on grade level literacy, math, science teachers as well as all English ninth and tenth grade, algebra I, geometry, biology teachers sixth through tenth grades. The 15 schools involved in the initiative are listed below. America's Choice will also provide on-site technical assistance for Stage 2 implementation of the rigor and readiness initiative for FY2011. This expenditure, which includes $223,015.50 for the ACT assessments, at a cost not to exceed $2,700,000.00, will be supported by General Fund (ARRA, Title I Funds). (Dr. Sheli McAdoo)
