This is a project that should have been funded out of the taxes Connecticut already collects at the gas pumps. And what they are calling safety improvements amounts to nothing more than cutting down some trees and paving the road. We used to call this maintenance. CT collects over $300 million a year in gas tax and spends less than half of that on the roads. Ridiculous. Your website shows 425 jobs created. I dare you to count more than 50 people ever working on this. Reply

Reply to Bryan : Bryan, your are absolutely correct. This entire road project has been on the design board for years and was going ahead with or without fed funds. The only winner here is O&G Construction, which happens to have a monopoly on all projects in CT. The fat cats at O&G are sitting back laughing there heads off at the profits they are making. Your correct in your count of people working at this site but what you don't see are the countless managers and politicians with no show job titles. Reply
